Joy Reider, Co-Editor-in-Chief
Joy Reider, Co-Editor-in-Chief, is a Senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. During her sophomore year at Roosevelt, she learned to love English class, especially the discussions. She joined Journalism with the hopes of learning how to write and express her opinions in a journalistic way. Now as a second-year staff member, Her main goal for The Raider Review is to get the students of ERHS more aware of what’s going on in school and in the community. A topic she hopes to cover this year is ‘an overview of Dr. Barnes’s first year. Outside of Journalism, she loves adventures and trying new things. She hopes she can one day have enough courage to go skydiving. Joy also loves cooking and trying new recipes, though they don’t always work out. She plans on receiving a bachelor’s in pre-medicine, and a Medical Degree from NYU with the hopes of becoming an orthopedic surgeon. She would also like to minor in journalism and communications. She hopes taking journalism will teach her the best way to communicate with patients and co-workers.
