Bernard is a student in Eleanor Roosevelt high school in his senior year. Bernard is the type of person that has big dreams and determination. One of his dreams is to be a mechanical engineer or to have his own business company. In order to accomplish goals/dreams, there are a few steps in life that need to be done. He accomplished his baby steps of his life which are kindergarten and  middle school, and now he is dealing with the hard steps with his high school. He joined a Journalism class for some reasons. One of the reasons was to develop his communication skills. Also to help him learn the nuances of reporting, such as researching and investigating and writing good copy. He wants to cover different topics such as religion, race, and climate change. Some of the goals that he set for being a journalist writer/publisher includes making the best  possible decisions about his life and know more about how to publish things and how to do clean writing.

Bernard is in some after school programs like soccer and band. He enjoys mingling with other people of diverse backgrounds. He loves encouraging others and also helping others. His career goal is to become an engineer. He is also good at a lot of things, like drawing, crafting, playing piano and guitar, playing and soccer.
