Destinie Allen joined journalism so that she can cover a lot of topics people may not know about or do not feel comfortable talking about , like human anatomy, interesting fun facts. Destinie was originally recommended to take journalism sophomore year by Ms. Seyler, after hearing about journalism she thought it would be an interesting class that will keep her mind active, while also strengthening her writing skills and exposing her to new experiences. Destinie has always been interested in writing but has never actually expanded to writing just for fun, and to spread knowledge. Some of Destinie’s other interests include swimming and dancing. When Destinie gets older she would like to become a lawyer and she thinks journalism will help out with her future career goal because she will better understand how real world events affect people.
