Bowie HS held the first time ever Roosevelt vs Bowie class night on Jan. 15, 2016. Roose came out with a victory against Bowie, having various games and performances.

Many students had different opinions on the outcome of the games. ERHS junior Victoria Burch said she felt the rival night was a success. “It was fun, and a good way to bring the schools together,” she said, continuing that the performances were “a good way to show our schools’ talent.”

“The rival night was better than I thought it would be,” said junior Shawn Devonish.  Referring to ERHS, he said, “we did good.”

Sophomore Sheka Kanu agreed. “Most of the performances were good, except for some of Bowie’s,” Kanu stated. Kanu also said the rival night was a success. “The whole place was packed, the juniors made a lot of money.”

Bowie senior Jason Epps thought that the night was “lit,” and continued that “Bowie was more hyped than Roose was.”

Overall, students thought that the class night should happen again, and the night went smoothly.
