Born in DC and raised in Maryland, Quadir Gillette is a staff writer with the Raider Review. Having been a student at Eleanor Roosevelt High and Greenbelt Middle School, Quadir has been interested in the events, local businesses, and people that make this city so great. Quadir has and will continue to create a series of articles involving individuals and businesses in Greenbelt throughout his time working with the Raider Review.

Other than Maryland, he has an interest in the culture of Eleanor Roosevelt itself, it’s thriving school community and active clubs. He is determined to use journalism to bolster the Roosevelt community and bring awareness to local events.

Quadir’s specialty has always been reading and writing, from creating short stories to reading news articles. HOwever, Quadir has a variety of interests, such as cooking, art, fitness, and botany. Quadir also has an interest in advocating for his schoolmates, both upper and lower classmen. Through journalism, he hopes to instruct and inform Roosevelt scholars through his writing in a well-written, easy-to-digest manner.
