Jeremiah Gouldson
Jeremiah Gouldson, the Junor, joined Journalism with hopes to not only cover major but minor and local things that affect not only students and staff, but the world at large. Finding most interest in Journalism, Jeremiah likes to talk about serious topics with context and educated nuance to spark conversations and encourage deep critical thinking. He also finds extreme interest and even love in subjects like English and Science. This interest bleeds into his into later and more personal interests besides Journalism. These include audiobooks, physical books, watching documentaries, and engaging in content that sparks critical thought.
Not only does the love for his subjects go into his personal interest. He intends to integrate it into his life. Jeremiah wants to be some type of biologist and go for a liberal arts degree. Circling back to journalism, he uses this as a way to represent information clearly and responsibly. He joined journalism to help people form their own opinions and thoughts freely without the fear of getting information of getting skewed or biased reports and white lies. This is most imperative to him when it comes to science-related topics as a lot of misinformation spreads easily about those type of topics. Aside from that, he also hoped for himself to leave a good reputation and impression as a thoughtful writer.
