Kaliya Young started as an Arts & Entertainment journalist in 2020 and is still a staff writer at The Raider Review. She chose journalism to explore different careers she may be interested in. However, she plans to be a novelist in the future and hopes that journalism will teach her writing techniques and styles that she can apply to creative writing. In her free time, Kaliya likes to sing, write poetry, and create stories on paper or in her head. She’s also a fan of classic rock and jazz music.
