Pepper Young, Managing Editor

Pepper Young has always had an intrinsic love of writing. Now a Junior in High School and a staff writer at the Raider Review, they joined Journalism as a way to challenge themselves and explore their passion for the subject. Pepper intends on using Journalism as a way to educate students on issues and cover fun community news in and around school. They hope to encourage students to form opinions on real-world problems that affect them, as well as engage in their communities.

In between their Sophomore and Junior year, Pepper quit the Science and Technology program at Eleanor Roosevelt High School to focus more on the subject they love the most: English. Having written a myriad of stories over their lifetime, creative writing has always been their most beloved hobby. On top of writing, they also enjoy listening to music, playing guitar, making art, crocheting, acting, and hanging out with their closest friends.

Pepper hopes to carry their love of writing into their career. They are interested in becoming a fiction author, journalist, or pursuing a career in Museum Studies. In the future, they hope to go to school for writing and travel the world.
