Joyce Zhang
Joyce Zhang is a sophomore and joined the Raider Review this year as a staff writer. Over the quarantine, she discovered her passion for writing and it was specifically politics and current events that got her into it. She hopes to use journalism to inform students of current events and topics that relate to students throughout the school year.
Government is her favorite subject at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. She finds the topics and discussions in the class very intriguing and fascinating and helps with looking at everything with more than one perspective. Some interests that Joyce has are traveling, skiing, ice skating, tennis and cooking. She hopes that her future career requires her to travel frequently due to her love for traveling and going to new places.
After high school, she hopes to attend UMD to study government and go to law school in New York City. She feels that journalism will help her improve and gain more skills in writing as she aspires to become a human rights lawyer.
