Teacher Feature: Ms. Pinckney

This year, Eleanor Roosevelt welcomed news teacher Ms. Jennifer Pinckney to the English department.

Ms. Pinckney is a Maryland local, who grew up in Gaithersburg, so she already knows the area.

She came to ERHS right out of college at the University of Maryland in College Park. Roosevelt was one of the first schools to offer her a teaching position. She  said she already knew that she liked it at Roosevelt, so she decided to come.

When asked why she liked teaching, Ms. Pinckney said “I just really like the challenge of helping students understand things.”

She also said she liked it at Roosevelt because “the kids are never boring, there is always something interesting for them to talk about.”
