Kendal Howell, Business Manager
Kendal Howell is a Junior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School, and the Business Manager for The Raider Review. Though this is her first year writing for the school paper, Kendal has already developed a passion for writing through poetry. She enjoys attending poetry slams from time to time, but she does not see herself as a career poet. Rather, she aspires to be an entrepreneur in the fashion and cosmetic industries. With her self-run hair service called The Rose Gallery, she has a head start on her future desires. With a future degree in business, she can see herself opening a salon, starting a clothing line, or pursuing fashion merchandising.
Kendal participates in a variety extracurricular activities, one of which is playing for the school volleyball team. Outside of school though Kendal works with multiple organizations, some of which include the Patriots Technology Training Center and the Uniquely You Summit Organization.
Kendal is very excited to finally have her voice heard through the school’s newspaper and she can’t wait to start writing. A couple of the topics she is looking forward to writing about include the Black Lives Matter movement and social injustices which she is very passionate about. She also wants to speak on topics relatable to people of her age and generation.
