The Boxtrolls Review: One Man’s Trash Is Another Man’s Treasure

If you’re looking for a movie the whole family can see then this is for you. The Boxtrolls is a fantasy/adventure that is funny, well put together, and made to entertain young children and adults. The animation  is detailed, vivid, and captivating. Though some of the names seem silly, the premise of the story is well thought out.

The Boxtrolls themselves are cute creatures who make creative inventions out of what humans call “junk.” The humans have a misconception that the Boxtrolls are bad and eat humans, but it’s the exact opposite. The Boxtrolls are innocent creatures who just want to make their inventions, so when the antagonist and town villain Archibald Snatcher devises a dastardly plan plan to get rid of them, the main character Eggs decides to surface from his underground home in order to save his family The Boxtrolls.

The movie is sweet, heartwarming and built for all ages.
