Girls Basketball Perseveres Through Season’s Ups and Downs

Girls+Basketball+Perseveres+Through+Seasons+Ups+and+Downs

The Eleanor Roosevelt Girls Basketball team has a current record of 7-6. They recently just played Flowers, Suitland, Wise and many more schools in the 4a Division since the Flowers game. The games are live-streamed and posted on “Eleanor RooseveltHs Production” on YouTube. For the December 14th game against Flowers, Eleanor Roosevelt forward #12, Samiah Smith was selected Player of The Game, but unfortunately we still lost.

We started off strong in the first quarter with 12 points, Flowers up by one, but then Flowers went on a run and sadly we were not able to pull through. They were able to make a strong defensive effort that transpired into a double digit offensive lead, and the game ended 70-31. Still, Roosevelt’s head Coach Fuller ended the game by encouraging the team to motivate them and make them thrive to get the win next time; “Let’s finish this, Let’s finish strong.”
