In 2012, 17-year-old Trayvon Martin lost his life because his skin color was seen as a threat. George Zimmerman, the murderer, was acquitted for the crimes he committed, second-degree murder and manslaughter. But apparently that wasn’t enough for him…

According to CNN, on December 04, 2019, Zimmerman filed a $100 million lawsuit against the parents of Trayvon Martin, Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin for defamation and malicious prosecution.  

Zimmerman was a malicious killer and deserved this defamation. He was upset about his name and reputation being destroyed, but neglected how Martin’s parents felt after their son was killed for simply being black.

Martin’s parents were trying to get justice for their innocent teenage son who was shot and killed by a member of the neighborhood watch. They were not to blame for the defamation of his character that came from his own actions. I hope he doesn’t try to sue me for the defamation this article may cause.

Zimmerman murdered a child because he found the color of a human being’s skin to be “suspicious.” He is the malicious one. He is suing the parents of the child that he killed and continuing to make the family pay in grief.

The worst thing about this is that Zimmerman has absolutely no regret for his actions. According to HuffPost, in 2018 he was seen signing a bag of skittles to mimic the bag of skittles Martin had in his pocket when he was shot and killed. He signed this bag of skittles for a sick “fan” at a gun show.

The reason why Zimmerman was acquitted, besides the reason of systematic racism, was the stand-your-ground law in Florida. This law gives the right for someone to defend themselves against a threat, even to the point of lethal force. Before Zimmerman shot and killed Martin he followed him. This law was hardly applicable because would you follow a threat to your life?

The death of Trayvon Martin helped spark the Black Lives Matter movement that took off in 2013. George Zimmerman being acquitted for taking an innocent Black life is the reason why America needs to be reminded that Black lives do matter. Zimmerman is a sadistic man and has not let Trayvon Martin rest in peace. He is continually bothering a family that which he stole so much from.
