The Eleanor Roosevelt Raiders girls varsity team seems to be the team to beat. On Thursday, October 3rd 2019 Eleanor Roosevelt High School Varsity girls soccer defeated the Parkdale Panthers by a score of 4-2 at home.

The raiders star that night was Senior Madison Endres. She scored a total of 3 goals and seemed to be unstoppable from the striker position, throughout the game.

This is the Raiders sixth straight victory to start the season. They have defeated Wise, High Point, Suitland, Laurel, Duval, and Parkdale.

Parkdale is the only team to score against their prominent defense. Although the Raiders won Parkdale still showed to be a very worthy opponent. Coming into the game Parkdale also sat undefeated, trying to beat the Raiders, and claim the first spot in the county.

In the past two years Parkdale has played Roosevelt twice in the regional championship, with Roosevelt prevailing each time, and this is a trend that should continue this year.

Parkdale managed to score two goals against a normally stout Raiders defense, that hasn’t allowed one goal all season. #15 for Parkdale scored a total of 2 goals at the striker position and was a problem for the Raiders defense all night.

Next for the Raiders, they will play the Bowie Bulldogs on Monday October 7th, 2019 looking to keep their perfect season.
