The Houston Astros won a intense battle against the LA Dodgers winning their first world series. They played 7 games, with the Astros winning 4 games out 7.  The final score of game 7 at Dodgers stadium was 5-1.

The Astros had a 101-61 record this season, and went from being the 4th team in Major League Baseball  history to lose 100 games in the previous season, then to come back and  win the World Series. The 2017 Will Mays Most Valuable Player of the series was outfielder George Springer, who hit five home runs and seven runs batted in throughout the series.

Furthermore, winning this championship was a relief for their fans in Houston. About two months after massive Hurricane Harvey devastated the city and caused 51 inches of rain, the Astros won their first world series after a tough 7 game series.  The Astros brought home the championship and celebrated with a parade in downtown Houston on November 3rd.

The Houston Astros completed an excellent season. The Astros are capable to  repeat history and bring back to back titles home.  It will be a difficult task, however, it is definitely something possible to consider going into the off season.
