Olanna Nwozo, Staff Writer
In order to cultivate her writing skills and challenge herself to write more and think less, Olanna Nwozo, senior at Roosevelt, took up journalism as a creative outlet. Originally starting off as a staff writer with an interest in student life and entertainment, Olanna has made it her goal to get more comfortable with her writing and cultivate interview skills by talking to other students.
While Government and Health are her favorite subjects in school, that doesn’t stop her from exploring different forms of literature; from anime, to K-dramas, to romance novels. She also enjoys listening to other people’s opinions on topics.
Aside from writing, Olanna enjoys taking the time to recharge while either talking on the phone with friends or watching a Marvel movie. She believes that her Journalism course will help her acquire a career in public health as it would give her the practice of voicing her opinions and communicating effectively with her peers. Her dream school is Johns Hopkins and she wants to major in Public Health.
