Julissa Mendoza Robles is a senior at ERHS and the News Editor for the Raider Review.  She joined journalism due to her love of writing.  Julissa aspires to write articles on student life to document memorable events and acknowledge all kinds of student achievements.  She’s also interested in writing about current events that affect the ERHS community.

Outside of journalism, Julissa likes to read.  Some of her favorite reads include the Harry Potter series, the Shades of Magic series, Radio Silence, and To Kill A Mockingbird.  She is also currently learning to roller skate which is a lot fun despite all the falling.  Her favorite animal is penguins and she knows way more about them than she should.  Not surprisingly, her favorite movie is Mr. Popper’s Penguins.

After high school, she plans on taking a gap year and eventually attending college to double major in English and mathematics.  She would especially love to attend a college with a good study abroad program so she can immerse herself in different cultures and earn her degree at the same time.
