This is junior Karina’s first year in journalism starting in 2024. Playing for the school’s soccer team, Karina enjoys revealing the emotional connection people have with sports through her writing. Karina as a News Editor joined journalism to broaden her creative writing skills, hoping to focus on global and local politics, connecting it to foreign affairs. Other than journalism Karina enjoys long-distance running, oil painting, and soccer. Karina hopes to pursue law, seeing journalism as another pillar of government—a way for justice to be understood by the public, and truth to be exposed.
