Ms. Monique Connealy is the new computer graphics teacher here at Eleanor Roosevelt HS, she is currently entering her fifth year of teaching. Before entering ERHS she taught previously for four years at Bladensburg HS in Bladensburg, Maryland.
Before coming a teacher, ms. Connealy worked with graphic design for a little over thirty years. Gaining education from her father beginning in high school. She also was in and out of Montgomery Community college. Eight years ago Connealy quit her graphic design job and went to full time school for one year at Montgomery and transferred to University of Maryland College Park, where she eventually received her Bachelors degree in art education. Currently she is working on receiving her masters degree in art integration at University of Maryland College Park. Ms. Connealy was also a teacher intern for Eleanor Roosevelt HS previous teacher ms. Cunningham five years ago while working on her bachelor’s degree.
So far, Connealy “loves it.” She says, “students are really willing to learn, and really are trying to take responsibility in their work.” Also she is “excited to be here at Eleanor Roosevelt” and claims she has “lots of knowledge to share with the students.” Senior Myles Hooker of Connealy’s first period class believes, “Ms. Connealy is a chill teacher.” Hooker also loves her, ” positive attitude and how considerate of us students she is.”
