Eleanor Roosevelt High School’s new investigator, Mr. Kevin Wynn, was offered a position at the school this past summer to be apart of the security department. Since Officer Wynn has been working at Roosevelt, he has adapted to the staff and school, learning the hallways and classrooms.

Officer Wynn is a retired detective from Arlington County. He said he doesn’t know how long he will be here at Roosevelt, but while he is here he feels as though he can “help by being more visual.” He aims to “to stop something from happening instead of waiting for it to happen.” Mr. Wynn likes the previous security system that ERHS has, describing it as having “good surveillance.”

Officer Wynn is “so far, a cool person,” says Officer Wooten of the Greenbelt Police Department.

“He takes initiative in his work and does his job well.” Wooten also said, “I would like to keep Mr. Wynn around for as long as I can, and his personality is great.”

Mr. Avery Taylor of the school’s front office describes Mr. Wynn as, “as an ex-policeman with a lot of experience, especially with kids, I can tell he wants to help them out.”

Officer Wynn said, “So far, I’m very impressed with the new students. The staff and teachers are all outstanding.”
