On Thursday March 10th, the Eleanor Roosevelt High School boys’ basketball team beat Perry Hall High School 69-59 in the Maryland 4A State Semifinals. The game was played in front of a lively crowd at the University of Maryland Xfinity Center.

After starting the game off with many turnovers and sloppy play in the first half, the Raiders came out firing in the second half. The team went on a 16-0 run to extend their lead over the Gators. Lead by senior guard Naji Marshall, who scored a game high 27 points, the Raiders played a solid game.

Marshall took control of the game in the fourth quarter by attacking the basket and making multiple clutch free throws.

The Raiders improved their record to 23-3 and will now advance to the state championship against Meade High School on Saturday March 12th, at 8:00 pm at the Xfinity Center.

The Raiders previously beat Meade in a tournament over Christmas break.
