U.S. History teacher, Mr. Julian Lord has been nominated for The Gazette‘s My Favorite Teacher Contest. The contest allows students to write an essay nominating a teacher whose class and teaching style they enjoy.
Nominated by junior Mary Anna Brogi, Mr. Lord called his nomination a “sweet honor,” whilst shaking his head. “It means a lot” he continued.
Brogi wrote an essay describing her eagerness to learn when entering Mr. Lord’s class. “The class as a whole was interested in what he was teaching,” said Brogi, who also mentioned that his commitment to teaching and involvement in after school activities is admirable.
A current student of Mr. Lord’s, freshman Elijah Virachittevin, says he’s already voted for Mr. Lord, adding that he is “a good teacher.” Students can vote for Mr. Lord as their favorite teacher on the Gazette’s website until November 7th.
The winning teacher for each county wins win five-hundred dollars or more in prizes.
