In November 2023, rock band “Issues” formally announced their break up, stating that they would be disbanding after a series of farewell shows in January 2024. Primarily due to allegations of sexual misconduct and grooming against their lead singer Tyler Carter, alongside personal life changing experiences, “Issues” followed up by firing their lead with the statement, “We, Josh, Sky, and AJ will no longer be working with Tyler. We believe in survivors.”
In September of 2020, Tyler Carter was fired after Lambgoat received “Miss Fortune’s” singer Mikey Sawyer’s statement, describing his relationship with Carter and accusations of sexual misconduct and grooming had emerged online. Sawyer had described how Carter took advantage of him as their friendship continued, alleging that Carter was manipulative and gaslit him and was eventually successful with what he wanted. Carter did issue a statement, taking accountability for what he had done with him abusing his power over Sawyer, and apologized to his victims, adding that he reached out to those “he may have hurt or affected.” The follow up series of farewell shows after their formal announcement of disbanding were located in Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, and Anaheim, CA without Tyler Carter in 2024 as they felt strongly about “leaving a positive legacy” for “Issues.”
