Joining can lift you into a fulltime job at a firestation or help with service hours to make graduation requirements. Sports Editor for the Raider Review, Junior Kevin Ramos joined journalism for more diverse opportunities in writing. Journalism is a way for him to improve as a writer and write about his passions. He hopes to cover current events as early as possible.
He enjoys writing with a healthy work ethic that will keep him consistent in quality. He looks forward to learning and only growing as a writer. In the future he wants to write articles that can empower and entertain.
Outside of journalism, Kevin works as a volunteer for a PG County Fire Department. Giving him a strong voice inside and outside of journalism. Kevin hopes to be a full time firefighter by the time he turns 18. His dedication in the fire academy is similar to that of Journalism. In his free time Kevin enjoys cooking, running, and playing with his dog at home. Kevin also has a deep interest in psychology which he plans to learn more about in Journalism.
