Noah Tabor is a freshman staff writer at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. He joined journalism to further develop his reporting and writing skills. His goal in Journalism is to cover sports news and topics alike. Besides journalism, he has hobbies such as playing football and graphic designing. Noah enjoys journalism class the most as it gives him a place to voice his opinion and help spread awareness of topics to other people. He hopes to use journalism in college to get a job as a commentator or a broadcaster.
Sam Stewart-Ricketts is a Senior and this is his First year working as the Managing Editor of The Raider Review. this is his second year on staff and he wants to be a marine biologist, and hopes that learning to write well as a journalist will help him when he is ready to publish his own studies. After high school, he plans tomove to England to pursue a PhD in marine biology. Sam is a goalie for the Wells Warriors, an ice hockey team based in College Park and is also a member of Venture Crew 746. His favorite place in the world is Camp Bowman, a Scouts BSA summer camp in Goshen, Virginia, where he worked and lived for 6 weeks over the summer. Sam also enjoys playing video games, some of his favorites are NHL 22, Punch Out, and any game from the Pokemon series. Sam Streams on Twitch and uploads youtube videos under the name Azjha_59. His favorite movie franchise is Jurassic Park, and his favorite band is Rare Americans
Saahron Livingstone began her career as a staff writer for the school’s Raider Review in the fall of 2023. The high school senior joined Journalism in order to get better at checking for errors and get better at editing. She wants to write about the future of film and media as that is her passion and the career she wants to take in the near future. She hopes to advance her skills in writing and editing to make the best script for future projects and writing products for her crochet works.
Starting out as a writer, Ashley Nteff, a junior, has recently entered the world of journalism as a Raider Review staff, fall of 2023. She has always loved writing, researching, and reading all sorts of articles whether that be resourceful or for fun she just enjoys being informed. Outside of journalism, Ashley is a cheerleader for Eleanor Roosevelt Highschool, she loves to draw, read and watch movies. When she grows up, she hopes to either work in the medical field, law or even be an actual journalist herself. Although she’s still just in highschool, Ashley hopes to improve her writing skills , gain more insight on the different organizations, clubs and programs that are offered at Eleanor Roosevelt in order to create articles that are not only entertaining but informative.
As a new writer, Jon Anthony Watson joined Journalism because he has a real love and enjoyment for fun and interesting stories. Watson loves writing about True Crime and interesting topics that occur at ERHS. His goals for writing and publishing are simply just to keep Roosevelt students updated and interested in what happens in their school. Jon Anthony takes joy in many things, his top interests are Cheerleading, Reading as well as going out and exploring places. He plans to pursue being a travel nurse. Just like journalists strive to gather accurate information and communicate it effectively, nurses also gather and communicate crucial information about patients to provide quality care.
