This is Ms. Lynn Hoang’s first year teaching at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. However, just because this is her first year teaching at Roosevelt, she is no beginner to teaching. She previously was employed at High Point High School for 7 years before working at ERHS. This year she is teaching Algebra 1. Ms. Huang has been enjoying the new experience. “It’s great,” she said. “The staff and students here are great. Everyone has a lot of school spirit. It’s a great environment.” She has been involved with Roosevelt before. Miss Hoang said “I substituted here for a week before I actually started teaching here so I knew what it was like”. Ms. Hoang also looks forward to attending school activities and events. Though she hasn’t attended any basketball games yet, she says “I plan to”. If there are any downsides to working at Roosevelt for her, it would be the copy machines. “They’re always broken,” she said with a laugh.
