Chiemeka Okeoma is a senior at Eleanor Roosevelt High School. He has been writing in the school’s satirical newspaper The Archduke since his sophomore year. Chiemeka’s interest in journalism mostly arose once the candidates for this year’s election began campaigning. He thinks journalism will be a good outlet to learn about opinions that are different to his own. Although he isn’t sure if he will be studying journalism in college, Chiemeka hopes that journalism will help improve his writing abilities.
