Pop Artist Sabrina Carpenter Debuts New Album “Man’s Best Friend”
From the hit summer pop album Short n’ Sweet, Sabrina Carpenter does it again with her newly released album “Man’s Best Friend”. Sabrina teased her next project in an Instagram Live while passing by vinyl records by other artists such as Dolly Parton, And Donna Summer.
The album’s cover artwork features Sabrina down on her hands and knees in a short black mini dress and heels while a manly figure who is out of the frame is pulling her hair. This sparked up a lot of controversy and a lot of backlash. People thought of this as a set back for women. As many fans of the pop artist are of a younger audience they might not know of what the true meaning of the cover is.
The cover was than given an alternative cover for the album and people were still upset about this cover as they thought what it was before was some type of joke. The alternative cover was a tribute to “Marilyn Monroe” and features Sabrina in a dress holding onto the arm of a man like figure.
On June 5th, 2025 Sabrina released her first lead single for the album by the name of “Man Child” and from the album cover itself it is definitely different from what her other hit songs were. By it’s cover this definitely looks like a country pop and synth pop track very Dolly Parton inspired and its very fitt
ing as they collaborated with one another on her last album “Short n Sweet”. Manchild” has charted at number one in many different regions and was hit during the month of June. I personally enjoyed this song. It’s very different from her regular style and it’s a good thing to change up here and there. Her inspiration for this album may have come more from sophisticated pop, disco, and R&B elements as you can really hear it in this song.
On August 1, Sabrina unveiled the title of the album’s second track which was “Tears” A week after and before the album’s release, Sabrina announced that “Tears” would be released as the second single alongside the album on August 29.
